Player Partnerships
Team Services works with NFL PLAYERS, the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association, to identify and secure a variety of NFL players to represent the National Dairy Council’s (NDC) Children’s Nutrition and Fitness Initiative in schools across the country. NDC has used many familiar faces throughout the years that span several NFL teams. NFL Players can often be seen in schools across the country, highlighted on school marketing materials that grace the walls of classrooms and school cafeterias.
DMI has evolved its partnership with the NFL through the introduction of the Fuel Up To Play program that will be introduced to schools in 2009. Across the country, the National Dairy Council and the NFL are teaming up to make a long-term commitment to America’s youth with an initiative that is aimed at tackling their sedentary lifestyles and poor nutrition. The nutrition and fitness initiative encourages youth to take action for their health and get involved in making positive changes in their schools and beyond. The initiative seeks to empower youth by partnering with them to choose more nutritious foods including low-fat and fat-free dairy products, whole grains, fruits and vegetables; get 60 minutes of physical activity each day; and motivate their friends to do the same.
