Naming Rights

Team Services seeks potential naming rights companies regionally, nationally and internationally.We provide perspective derived from years of experience working on all sides: team, corporation, venue and municipality. We’ve prepared brief case studies for a few of our Naming Rights clients: Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium, Texans’ Reliant Park, Panthers’ former Ericsson Stadium, and Maryland’s Comcast Center.

M & T Bank Stadium
M&T Bank LogoM & T Bank Stadium is the home of the NFL Baltimore Ravens and has a seating capacity of almost 69,000.  Team Services secured M & T Bank as the Ravens’ naming right partner in a fifteen year, $75 million agreement. This naming rights partnership –the first to have community-based programs as a foundation– was executed within a seven-month period.

Reliant Park
Reliant Park is the home of the NFL Houston Texans and has a seating capacity of 69,000. Team Services was selected to provide consulting services, including research and analysis, for the naming rights for the new NFL team in Houston.

reliant_parkWith Team Services’ assistance, the Houston Texans sold the naming rights to their new future home, Reliant Stadium, as well as four additional venues located within the stadium complex. The agreement was the largest in the history of sports at the time of the signing and remains the largest NFL deal to date.

Ericsson Stadium
Ericcson-Panthers logoEricsson Stadium is the home of the NFL Carolina Panthers. Located in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina, the stadium seats 73,000. Team Services worked with the Panthers to secure a naming rights partner for the new stadium and completed the entire process within a five-week period for record-setting $20 million over ten years.

University of Maryland
Maryland Terps Logo Smaller 1The University of Maryland retained Team Services to market the naming rights to their new field house, the Comcast Center. Team Services capitalized on regional branding and business-to-business opportunities for Comcast by securing rights to provide cable services for the entire campus. Working with the University — in conjunction with the State of Maryland– Team Services finalized an agreement with Comcast Communications within six months and went on to build partnerships and advise the university on marketing initiatives related to the new venue.

Team Services also developed a premium corporate sponsorship package with Nextel that was one of the largest wireless partnerships in the county. In addition, Team Services completed a study of the expansion of seats and luxury suites for Byrd Stadium.
