Sponsorship Sales

Team Services seeks potential partner companies both regionally and nationally. We provide perspective derived from years of experience working on all sides– team, corporation, venue and municipality.

Team Services has worked with both professional and collegiate entities, acting as their agency of record and providing services related to:

  • Sponsorships
  • Sale Process Evaluations
  • Strategic Sales Plan Development
  • Inventory Creation/Packaging Strategies
  • Aggressive Sales Execution

We’ve prepared brief case studies for a few of our Sponsorship Sales clients: Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, and the University of Connecticut.

Cleveland Browns
~cleveland_browns_logoTeam Services was retained as the exclusive marketing agency of the Cleveland Browns for their return to Cleveland and the NFL. We were responsible for sponsorship sales, retail development, ticket sales and operations and Internet.

Our group signed the Cleveland Clinic as the official medical supplier to the team, established First Energy as the energy provider to the stadium, and introduced National City as the team’s official bank.

When the Browns elected not to pursue naming right, Team Services developed an alternative marketing plan: “Quadrant Naming Rights.” Our group creatively packaged non-traditional inventory to maximize revenues for the team. The Cleveland Browns are one of the highest revenue producing teams in the National Football League.

Denver Broncos
~broncos_logoThe Denver Broncos hired Team Services to provide an in-depth analysis of the team’s sponsorships and to implement a strategic sales program for the organization. US Bank was identified as the official bank of the Denver Broncos, bringing numerous business-back opportunities. Other sponsors identified as corporate partners included 24-Hour Fitness, Coca-Cola and Budweiser.  Team Services also consulted the Broncos on strategic venue development and planning for the new Invesco Field at Mile High.

University of Connecticut
~huskies_logoTeam Services negotiated the stadium lease (Rentschler Field) between the University of Connecticut and the Office of Policy Management (in the State of Connecticut, two state entities cannot negotiate directly) and increased the season ticket base to 25,000 in the first year at the new stadium. We then developed premium corporate sponsorship packages for the university that resulted in new revenues in excess of $4.9 million over a five-year period.

Team Services also performed extensive comparative analysis of luxury suites and signage inventories of colleges across the country and advised the athletic department in multiple areas including ticket sales, campus-wide business-to-business opportunities and media partnerships. Our partners included: Cingular Wireless, Cooper Tires, Dunkin Donuts, IGA, Pizza Hut, SBC Communications and State Farm Insurance.
