Described by the NFL as the “only award that recognizes a current NFL player for outstanding community service activities as well as excellence on the field,” the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award presented by Nationwide is, perhaps, the most unique award given out by the NFL.

This year 3 Fuel Up To Play 60 Player Ambassadors were selected as their teams’ Man of the Year, and are now eligible to win the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award: Connor Barwin (Philadelphia Eagles), Devin McCourty (New England Patriots) and David Bruton (Denver Broncos).

Each teams’ winner has proven to be an exemplary member of their team, and community, and, as a result, have been automatically nominated to win the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award presented by Nationwide. Three of the 32 team nominees will be selected as finalists in early January, 2016, and the winner will be announced at the fourth annual NFL Honors awards show on Saturday, February 6th.
