In honor of our bright and dedicated workforce, we are proud to highlight some of our most committed staff at Team Services in our monthly TS Employee Spotlight.
Name
Travis Lane
How long have you worked with Team Services?
Almost 4 and a half years.
What is your job title, and what does it entail?
Manager, Sales/Consulting. I work across both our sales and consulting divisions supporting clients to enhance their overall marketing platforms through sports programming on the consulting side and to increase revenue through corporate partnership development on the sales side. I’ve done a little bit of everything in my time at Team Services from negotiating athlete endorsement and sponsorship deals (with the likes of Kevin Love, Kelley O’Hara and USA Swimming), to driving the sales process for major sponsorship assets on behalf of NBA teams, and even supporting client VIPs at the Super Bowl. I also work with our one professional athlete client, golfer Joseph Bramlett, with his various needs with the PGA/Web.com Tour.
What is your reason for working in the sports industry?
I always played sports and was a sports fan growing up, so that itself seeded my interest in the industry. I ended up playing football and studying Economics in college, which really motivated me to learn more about intersection of business and sports and the opportunity to make that a career.
What are some hobbies of yours?
Cooking, binge-watching shows, outdoor activities, and playing sports.
What is one item you'd love to check off your bucket list?
Travel to Europe. I haven't traveled across the Atlantic before, and I would really like to explore the different parts of Europe.
What is your favorite part of working at Team Services?
I really like the office camaraderie and the ability to work on several different high-level projects. Being a small company allows everyone to be exposed to all the different areas of our business.
If you could switch jobs with one individual for a day, who would it be? Why?
Trent Baalke, GM of the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are my favorite NFL team, and I've always wanted to be an NFL GM. The opportunity to shape a roster and work with the operations team to put the best product on the field is really interesting. I think it would be awesome to sit in his chair for a day.
